Colonel Ilan Ramon
of Ramat Gan will be the Payload Specialist when mission STS-107
on Space Shuttle Columbia launches. (Date to be determined due to shuttle maintenance.) Col. Ramon will be the first Israeli astronaut and the first person to eat Kosher food in space. Among the research that will be performed is an experiment prepared by the 8th-graders at the ORT Kiryat Motzkin school near Haifa. |
