The Ahava Project- Promoting Women's Participation in High-Tech Professions |
The ORT Israel network, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the
Prime Minister's Office, was the first to initiate a Computer Engineering study track for female high
school graduates from the Druze and Ethiopian sectors.
The aim of this program is to provide these young women with the opportunity to acquire vocational training
to allow them future inclusion in high-tech plants, software companies, or employment at home.
Sophisticated computer laboratories were established at ORT Rehovot and the Ronson ORT High School of
Osafiya and Dalyat al Carmel. Graduates of the program receive practical computer engineering diplomas.
