 ORT Israel Student Killed in Jerusalem Bombing |

Saturday night, March 9, 2002, was one of the worst. In two separate attacks one in Jerusalem,
the other in Natanya, thirteen people were killed. In Jerusalem,a suicide bomber walked into the Moment Cafe and blew himself up killing eleven young people. Among the dead was Dan Emunei, a graduate of the ORT Givat Ram High School. The Jerusalem Post indicated that the death of Dan Emunei, 23, meant that for the second time since coming to Israel from Iran in the early 1980s the family had lost a son. An older son, Hezi, was killed in 1984 in Lebanon when he was 19. |
